Fabulous, rare, collectible.  These are connoisseurs’ beads for the collector.  Their intricacy of design and skill in execution is breathtaking. Yemen silversmiths fled Yemen in 1948 after being persecuted.  Many left their silversmithing tools behind and had to start again in Morocco (and Jordan) where many of my beads come from.  Most of my beads till have the distinguishing cartouche/maker’s stamp still on them, which predates 1948.  These are typically strung with amber, resin amber and rare beads. Many of these pieces tell stories of the individual wearer, with pieces being added during good times and taken off to sell during adversity.
