Rare and unusual collection of pendants from Southern Hadramat in Yemen of  gilded beads and pendants in various shapes from the 1800’s, mixed with Indian garnets and fresh water pearls necklace.  The threads on the beads are intentionally left there as they were once attached to clothing. I love how jewellery tells a story and you’d have to wonder at what the clothing looked like and who wore it, to where, and when.  These can be removed, if you don’t like them, but please don’t ask me to do it!
