Ancient Treasure

A rare long strand of ancient excavated stone and glass beads from Djienne, Mali, dating from 1200’s, more rare because of the fine graduation in size;  can you imagine how long it took me to sort these out!  These are hand cut and drilled, in tones of yellow through brown to white and deep blue. Ends with 1800’s Maasai trade beads from Kenya and sterling parrot clasp.
