Venetian Treasure

I was lucky to live in Venice where I made this piece; actually sitting on an ancient stone windowsill almost in a gnarled fig tree! I used old trade beads and an antique Murano tassel I found at a Wednesday morning market, to which I added Maasai beads, vulcanite, and a brass Nepalese repousse bead, gathered when I lived in Nepal.  It’s a longish necklace, quite flapper-ish, and is very tactile.
