Jade Carnelian Pearl Pendant Necklace N471

$3,863.64 AUD

Imperial

A classic yet contemporary necklace of green watery jade, with carnelian and freshwater pearls.  I’ve attached a tassel I made from 8 King George V One Indian Rupee coins, dating around 1914, found in Hong Kong.  But how? and Why?  Well during the Wars, China was struggling economically, and Britain had its hold, and India also belonged to Britain.  The Chinese had British and Indian passing through and they traded in whatever currencies they could.  Each coin is collectible;  I’ve threaded them with fresh water pearls, vintage Japanese crystal, two chunks of nephrite jade.  Long and lovely.
